Village Recreation Ground

At its meeting on 2nd September the Parish Council decided that urgent action needed to be taken to remove much of the wooden play equipment in the Recreation Ground. The link below explains the circumstances behind this decision.

Adoption of the SNC's new Local Plan

At their full Council meeting on 22nd July the SNC adopted their new Local Plan Part 2. The Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for South Northamptonshire, and the policies within the Plan will hereafter be used by the SNC and its successor authority to determine planning applications for the future of the area up to 2029.

Re-opening of NCC's Household Waste Recycling Centres

The NCC have announced that their recycling centres will re-open from Monday 18 May for essential use only. However your attention is drawn to the fact that restrictions will apply, and you are advised to read the instructions on the NCC's website before paying your first visit.

Resumption of Gigaclear's operations

The Parish Council have been informed that Gigaclear will be resuming their trenching operations for the superfast broadband roll-out in the village "in mid-May", continuing through to "the end of June". Parish Council Meeting planned to be held on 20th April

This meeting has been cancelled in line with current Government guidance. The work of the Parish Council is nevertheless continuing (so far as current circumstances allow), and the Clerk can still be contacted using the contact details displayed at the bottom of this page.

Coronavirus Village Action Update

The village's response to the CV-19 national emergency has been to form a group of villagers called "Yardley Helping Yardley" under the umbrella of the existing Good Neighbours scheme. This group is coordinating all activities to help those in need using village volunteers.
