"Presentation Event" at the Memorial Hall - 12th February 10am-12 noon

As publicised in an article in the latest Village Newsletter, on Saturday 12th February the Compton Estates and Francis Jackson Homes will be holding a presentation event, in conjunction with the Parish Council, to update local residents on current progress with the new housing scheme on Northampton Road adjacent to The Leys.

Grendon Brook - Maintenance by the Environment Agency

Residents will have observed the maintenance work recently carried out on the banks of the brook by contractors employed by the Environment Agency. Electoral Register - Annual Updating

Every year local authorities are legally required to update their Electoral Registers. In August forms were sent to every household in West Northamptonshire, and the West Northamptonshire Council are now following up on those households who have not yet completed and returned their forms as requested.

Councillor Vacancies

There are eleven seats on the Yardley Hastings Parish Council. At the recent elections in May eight of these seats were filled, but this means that there are now three vacancies, and the sitting Councillors are keen to recruit new members to fill these. What about You?

End of Year Accounts for the year 2020-21

As part of the audit regime which applies to the Parish Council there is a period of thirty days every year during which members of the public are entitled to inspect the Council's accounting records. This thirty day period commences today (7th June) and expires on Friday 16th July.

St Andrew's Church

The Parochial Church Council of St Andrews Church are pleased to acknowledge the assistance which has been given by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to facilitate substantial repairs to the fabric of the building. A History of St Andrews Church gives full details of the history of the building and the works which have recently been completed.

Following the close of the period for nominations the Returning Officer has published a "Notice of Uncontested Election" confirming that eight persons have been duly elected as Parish Councillors for Yardley Hastings.

Delivery of copies of the "SNC Review"

It has come to the attention of the Parish Council that a significant number of properties in the village have yet to receive their hard copies of the "Farewell" edition of the "SNC Review". Adoption of the SNC's new Local Plan

At their full Council meeting on 22nd July the SNC adopted their new Local Plan Part 2. The Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for South Northamptonshire, and the policies within the Plan will hereafter be used by the SNC and its successor authority to determine planning applications for the future of the area up to 2029.
